Salutations my beloved muses, 

I’m back with another post because I’m just brimming with ideas ;D

I was listening to ‘The Exit’ by Conan Gray, an artist I really love, and I always come back to this song because 1) it’s really good, 2) Superache, the album it’s on, is one of my all time favourite albums, and 3) there is a line in the beginning of the song that goes “mid November, and I’m sippin’ on a half cold coffee starin’ at a girl who’s not me on your arm, a carbon copy.” This line sticks out to me not only because of the beautiful songwriting but also because my birthday is in mid November. It’s on the 14th (tomorrow!!) which isn’t exactly the middle but close enough. Because of this, I interpret the line as “staring at a girl who’s not me” (the girl I was one year ago), “a carbon copy” (she’s still me, just with one less year of experience). Obviously this isn’t the intended meaning of the line when it was written but it’s quite beautiful how people can perceive the same thing so differently. It’s like that one question wondering if everyone sees colours differently. Maybe my purple looks different to your purple? This is giving me a yr11 psych flashback… 

I hope my blog is living up to its jocoserious standards for you guys!! It’s really fun to just post random musings for everyone to read <3 Okay I think I need to explain the name of my blog… we used a blog name generator and that’s where I got the musings part. I then googled adjectives that started with j to match with my name and jocoserious came up. It’s such a goofy word (it means being joyful/humorous and serious at the same time by the way) and I knew I had to use it for my blog. Honestly I don’t even know if it’s an actual word but it exists on Google so that’s something and I think it’s quite fitting for my blog!
