driving off into the sunset

 Hello my muses,

Very short life update because... drumroll pls... I drove for the first time today!! Okay don't judge, I know I put this off for a really long time but hey I finally started. It was less scary than I imagined though it definitely feels foreign to me. Like what do you mean the car just keeps moving when it's on?! I was so tense while driving that my muscles were sore. Literally clenched everything I could as if that would prevent any crashes. Well maybe it did because I didn't crash into anything!! I'm terrified of the accelerator pedal, I like my speed without it thank you very much (but guys my top speed of the day was 20km/hr and it felt very very fast). The real deal will be when I start driving on the roads... now THAT is a terrifying thought. 

Anyway, I wanted to document this here because I want to be able to look back on my blog and remember all the little moments from this time of my life. Honestly even reading the posts from last year makes me feel kinda nostalgic.

Salutations my beloved muses,  I’m back with another post because I’m just brimming with ideas ;D I was listening to ‘The Exit’ by Conan Gray, an artist I really love, and I always come back to this song because 1) it’s really good, 2) Superache, the album it’s on, is one of my all time favourite albums, and 3) there is a line in the beginning of the song that goes “mid November, and I’m sippin’ on a half cold coffee starin’ at a girl who’s not me on your arm, a carbon copy.” This line sticks out to me not only because of the beautiful songwriting but also because my birthday is in mid November. It’s on the 14th (tomorrow!!) which isn’t exactly the middle but close enough. Because of this, I interpret the line as “staring at a girl who’s not me” (the girl I was one year ago), “a carbon copy” (she’s still me, just with one less year of experience). Obviously this isn’t the intended meaning of the line when it was written but it’s quite beautiful how people can perceive the same thin...
