the calm before the storm

 Hello my muses,

Can you believe it's already March?! What is time!!

This upcoming week is a busy one for us so this post will outline everything that is lined up. We've got the second round of school photos which is the group photo for yr12s. It's where our whole cohort will be in one picture but apparently they shoot two photos and edit it together. That makes more sense but I really did think they would shoot it all in one frame. But then the back people would be like 20m in the air lol. What are the odds that I'm in the front row this year... I feel like I'm always in the front but last year I was actually in the second row!! Does this mean I'm tall?!

The cast is also being announced for our school production next week. I'm kinda nervous because it could go in many different ways. After the initial auditions, I got a callback for young/teen Fiona which was surprising because how am I meant to pull off a child when, as I mentioned before, I am so tall!!! But anyways, the callback went fine. I messed up in the harmony section quite a bit and then in the read I lowkey forgot my lines. I hope my expressions can pull through. Okay, looking back, maybe that callback didn't go that well. Oh well! Honestly, there are some banger roles in ensemble for this show so I would really be happy with anything. Unless they cut me out of the cast. Then I'd be a little sad. Fingers crossed!!

Athletics day is coming up this Friday! I'm actually pretty excited for it because, if I didn't say it before, my friends and I are dressing up as the Heathers from Heathers: the Musical. We just watched the show because Enya (TBBFABWE) hadn't seen it before. I LOVE the songs in this musical (well some are a bit questionable...) but I forgot how heavy the themes were. Anyways, I can't wait to see everyone's costumes and everything. You know, I know of THREE different groups who are dressing up as Barbie Princess Charm School, which is fair because the uniforms or whatever are really cute.

Once the week is over, I'll make a follow up post to update you guys on how everything went. I also have a pretty busy weekend planned so maybe I'll make a separate post to talk about all of that.

Thanks for reading,

- Jessica
