the storm is over (not really)

 Hello my muses,

It's the end of this insanely busy week meaning I can now update you on how everything went.

The beginning of this week felt like such a long time ago but we had our yr12 cohort photo on Tuesday. Even though it was a really hot day, we had to wear our jackets and we were all cramped into the tiny rows. They did in fact take the photos in sections and I was put in the second row of the first section (so I'm tall-ish !). Also, they updated our profile pictures from our old school photos to our new ones, so even though we haven't gotten the physical photos back we found out what our individual photos looked like. I was really scared it would look bad, especially because this year's photo is so important but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a pretty decent school photo. My hair was a bit poofy and kinda ugly but that's okay because I thought it would be way worse.

The next day, we found out the cast to our school production! It was actually a half day for me but the cast was announced at the end of the school day. My friends and I went shopping after school so we were at the shopping centre when the cast emails came out and I got Fairy Godmother (one of the fairytale creatures) + ensemble! Our first rehearsal is this week so I'm very excited to see everyone again.

And finally, after a week of school, the athletics carnival rolled around. While I was putting my costume on I could not believe that this day had actually come. When I walked into the yr12 area, it was so cute seeing everyone's different costumes. I saw some Mario characters, Alice in Wonderland, Rio birds and even a group of eggplants...?! Throughout the day I played card games on the picnic mats, sung some karaoke, watched the different events and even participated in the year 12 run (which wasn't too bad to do in costume, although someone did lose a shoe). Overall it was a really nice day (even though it was so hot) and I can't believe that was my last ever athletics carnival :(

Not only was the school week packed, but so was my weekend. Honestly I don't know how I got to the other side but I'm really sad because now I have to go back to school again 😔 Although this weekend was so fun and definitely increased my social life, it also affected my academic life because I was not locked in at all. I've done like no homework over the past few days so I have a lot to catch up on ugh. Trying not to think about it tho because it makes me anxious. Also, the end of the term is coming up so quickly. What do you mean it's almost the holidays again?! Well we got a few more weeks before that (and a few more SACs...).

I guess that's the end of the post. Thanks for reading!
