finally over

Hello my muses,  IM FREEEE Had my last exam this morning, lowkey fumbled it, but at least its OVER. And now I don't have any school until Monday, where we will be getting our yr12 jackets!! Also, we are finding out our timetable for next year soon, I'm praying for good classes and good teachers please please pleaseeee. I've been thinking a lot about this past year, since we only have one (!!) month to go and for me, a loooot of things happened, which my brain compressed into nothing at all. For instance, I literally moved houses but I don't really recall any of the emotions that came with it. I guess it was just a pretty stressful period of time so I never really processed anything. I remember coming home from school one day and my bedframe was gone! Overtime, other things started disappearing, like our dining table and chairs which was replaced with random portable tables and camping chairs. Then one day on a random Thursday, in the week of the opening night of our sch...

exam szn D:

Ciao my muses, I am now over half way through my year 11 exams! I have one left this week which is tomorrow and I'm currently studying for it right now... just taking a brainbreak of course 😁 The remainder of my exams is just maths because I take two maths subjects and each one has two exams. Actually, over half my exams are just maths! I didn't think about that before... Yesterday was just pure stress. I had two exams within 45mins of each other, which didn't go as terribly as I expected. But then I had to come home and study for chemistry, which I sat this morning. I thought I was definitely going to fail, I forgot basically all the content we learnt over the year and tried to do as much as I could last night which honestly wasn't much because I was feeling so out of it. Somehow though, I managed to do most of the questions somewhat correctly (I hope) in the exam, so at least I'm not going to fail (I hope). Now I'm feeling much better with my, probably hardes...

appreciation cake

Hello my muses, I'm here with Holly, one of the co authors of  The Yap Club.  It's one of my favourite blogs so you guys should check it out!  It's the last day of classes today, so we are at school decorating a cake. It's for our maths teacher who had to put up with our shenanigans for the whole year. If I can figure out how to, I'll add the photo of the cake into this post. Our maths class has a lot of our friends in it so we are always talking and being a nuisance which the rest of the class has to put up with, but honestly the whole class is really chill and same with our teacher. One time, we had a class discussion about being pregnant during yr12 and the benefits... it was a very interesting lesson. If you read the Yap Club you might be able to figure out who led that discussion. Anyway, I'm going to miss this class!! We are planning to bring the cake into class period three, and surprise our teacher with it.  Decorating the cake was very fun. Holly broug...

goodbye sixteen

Salutations my beloved muses,  I’m back with another post because I’m just brimming with ideas ;D I was listening to ‘The Exit’ by Conan Gray, an artist I really love, and I always come back to this song because 1) it’s really good, 2) Superache, the album it’s on, is one of my all time favourite albums, and 3) there is a line in the beginning of the song that goes “mid November, and I’m sippin’ on a half cold coffee starin’ at a girl who’s not me on your arm, a carbon copy.” This line sticks out to me not only because of the beautiful songwriting but also because my birthday is in mid November. It’s on the 14th (tomorrow!!) which isn’t exactly the middle but close enough. Because of this, I interpret the line as “staring at a girl who’s not me” (the girl I was one year ago), “a carbon copy” (she’s still me, just with one less year of experience). Obviously this isn’t the intended meaning of the line when it was written but it’s quite beautiful how people can perceive the same thin...

dreaming about taking a fat nap

Good morning my muses, Sleeping is something I take for granted, but I look forward to it every night. That's because every night in my sleep, I'm met with vivid cinematic dreams that are so entertaining. Most of the time, when I wake up, I don't even remember what the dream consisted of. Sometimes, I try to play it back and all the inconsistencies become very apparent. It's funny how dream logic feels right in the moment but makes no sense when I'm awake.  There's a thing called lucid dreaming, where you are conscious while dreaming or you are aware you are dreaming. I'm not sure if I've ever experienced this but it's a very interesting phenomenon. Honestly anything to do with the subconscious mind is really interesting.  After a long day of school, I usually take a nap. A nap can go one of two ways for me: it lasts for hours (like 4-5) and I usually have to wake up because my mum is calling me down for dinner and I wake up feeing so disorientated ...

fictional characters > real life

Happy Monday my muses, I just finished my practice essay for English that was meant to be done a week ago! I still have to do the practice AC but that's for another time. It's the last week of year 11 classes and I don't have any motivation to do the work or even study for my exams. I just want it to be transition week already. Actually I just want to fast forward to the holidays. School is a bit of a bore right now (isn't it always) but this weather is making me feel a lot better. I feel like my mood is heavily influenced by the weather but it might also be other factors like how we are deep into the school year in winter but by summer we are practically done. Though, I'd like to think that the cloudless blue skies and the warm weather is what makes my mood better :D  Earlier this year, I read a series called 'The Raven Cycle'. It consists of 4 books: 'The Raven Boys', 'The Dream Thieves', 'Blue Lily, Lily Blue' and 'The Raven K...

living life singing some tunes

I'm kinda obsessed with making blog posts. They aren't anything special but it's just really fun.  I've mentioned how I love listening to music in my previous post, so this post is dedicated to that!  I'm a pop girlie through and through. I love Taylor Swift (folklore is my favourite album <3), Olivia Rodrigo, Laufey, Lizzy McAlpine, The Driver Era and many more!  When I listen to music, I don't really listen to playlists. Well, I make one mega playlist for the whole year and add all the songs I listen to throughout the year into that. Other than listening to my mega playlist, I listen to albums. Listening to all the songs from start to finish on repeat for weeks until I grow out of it. 'The Secret of Us (Deluxe)' by Gracie Abrams is the album I am currently listening to. I adore this album!! All the songs are sooo good its hard to pick a favourite.  Not that anyone asked for this, but here are a couple of my favourite songs or albums from my favourit...

bored in class

Hello again my muses, Currently in maths class and I'm very much locked out. We are nearing the end of the school year so exams are just around the corner. Let's pray for my grades. Also Anisha says hi! My laptop is on 8% right now but I'm determined to get this post out.  My birthday is next week! This weekend, my friends are coming over for a sleepover and I am veryyy excited!! Just gotta get through this school day first... Any F1 lovers here? Can we talk about that last race?? I watch pretty much all the races live (when the timing is justifiable because sometimes races are at like 3am on a Monday and I got school) but I missed the Brazilian GP because I had a veryyy important exam the next day, one that I spent weeks studying for. Tell me why the one race I miss is the craziest one of the season. Max win form 17th?? Double Alpine podium?? Carlos DNF?? (he's my fav driver btw). Anyways, I'm looking forward to the next race but we got a couple weeks to wait :( O...
